Hello world!

Hello there,

My name is Saurabh Je Singh, pretty sure this is probably the fifth time you are reading my name since you accessed this blog. I know, I know, this makes me seems like a narcissist and self-centered, and to some extent, I suppose I am, just like everyone else. I'm currently studying to become a software engineer, pursuing my undergraduate degree in CS.

I like communicating with people I just don't like making them friends. We need a word that describes the closeness, respect and intimacy - both platonic and romantic- between two people that lies in between a friend and an acquaintance. I am very good at making friends. I believe given the chance, I can make Yamraj (Hindu deity of death) my friend. I'm just simply so good at it. It comes so easily to me. Despite being so good with this, I like my solitude.

I am guessing, you ended up here either through X or because I applied for a job, or perhaps you're just someone who likes to drop by and read what I have to say every once in a while. The previous version of this blog page was equally exciting, albeit a bit too simple and minimal for some people' taste. I have been advised to redesign my personal website/blog-portfolio. Well, this is me doing it.

I'm not sure what else to tell you, other than the fact that I yearn/long for a minimal and ordinary life. I tick all the clichés: yes, that would include saying my hobbies are playing video games, programming and maybe a bit of cricket. That about it I guess.

See, I told you, I am nothing extraordinary, nor do I try to be. I don't have any fascination with flashy rich lifestyle, or having multiple cars. There is, however, one thing, I find very fascinating- good engineering. Whether it's something as simple as a phone case or as sophisticated as an automatic watch like Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime, which evidently have 1,366 individual components, the level of engineering in such creation is simply marvelous.
